Experiments on single atoms (University of Stuttgart)
Experiment regarding a single atom! We used Spectrum's arbitrary waveform generator.
The University of Stuttgart used a Spectrum arbitrary waveform generator for experiments to replace diamond carbon atoms one at a time with nitrogen atoms. This device can be applied in applications such as atomic-level magnetic field detectors and quantum computer Qubits (information elements that can take on not only 0 and 1 but also superposition states by utilizing quantum mechanical states). Additionally, NV defect centers are nanoscale nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) devices that can be used as atomic-sized magnetic field sensors, and for example, they can be applied to evaluate characteristics by measuring the magnetic field strength of small read/write heads on hard disk drives. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
